University After-School Network

This year, the University of Hartford's Educational Main Street is teaming up with public school's in the neighboring town of Bloomfield with a new University After-School Network. This program will run throughout the year at all of Bloomfield's public schools, and will get students and faculty of the unveristy involved in the lives of children from the community. This marks the expansion of EMS after-school programming from schools in Hartford's North End into the neighboring school districts. Service-Learning Community Showcase

Educational Main Street will be holding a Service-Learning Community Showcase on Wednesday, November 18th in the Konover Great Room on the campus of the University of Hartford. Come and discover all the things that service-learning can do for you and your community. We will be giving away free disposable cameras for you to document the impact that we can have in joining together to improve education in Hartford and the surrounding area.

Twentieth Anniversary!

Educational Main Street is celebrating its twentieth anniversary! Throughout 2010 we will be hosting a number of great events where you can come celebrate with us. Don’t miss this great opportunity to come back to visit your friends at EMS, and learn about some of the great programs that we’ve been running now for twenty years.
